Bosch dishwasher not cleaning properly.
Engineers repair comments.
On my arrival i put the bosch dishwasher no a quick wash cycle, the machine filled normally then the motor started to run, the Bosch dishwasher detergent dispenser opened and the Dishwasher started to heat. I then opened the door & set both top and bottom spray arms facing the front door, shut the door and ran the machine for 30 seconds, opened the door again to see if the spray arms had moved from the position i had put them in, the bottom arm had moved but the top spray arm way still in the same position. I replaced the top spray arm and carried out the same test. This time the Boschdishwasher spray arms both changed direction. We would add that for effient cleaning both spray arms need to be in good condition, being worn on the center fitting and splits along the sides can give very poor washing results
Neff Oven Door Glass Loose

To fix the inner glass panel to my oven door you need to remove the oven door from the cooker, this can normally be achieved by locking the door hinges to do this open the oven door and either turning locking circle on the inner door panel or engaging the small hook on the hinge it self by slowing shutting the door you then lift out the complete door including the hinges from the body of the oven, The oven door can then be separated by removing screws either or both along the bottom of the door and those that hold the door handle, remove the old sealant (which may look like a rubber gasket) and clean both the oven door and the glass, Apply and even bead of the High performance heat resitant 300 deg sealant , Apply even pressure to the glass and place a weight on the glass until the sealant cures ( normally about 3-4 hours) , re-assemble the door back together and refit back onto the oven
Washing Machine Spare Parts
Posted by davem in Engineers Service Call Repair Diary on February 27th, 2010
Washing machine door seals are made of a flexible rubber material, They attach to the outer drum front plate and is held on via a spung loaded clip or a clip which is tightened by a nut and bolt system. It is then held onto the front cabinet of the washing machine via a spring clip. Most Washing Machine rubber door seals have a drainage hole or holes at the bottom of the seal, this allows excess water that has collected in the seal to drain away, so when it is time to take the washing out of the machine there is no water laying in the seal so the clothes stay dry.
A large proportion of service call problems come the machine not being able to pump out the water and one the most important things you can do is to do a regular check on the filter
Indesit IDF125 Dishwasher Spare Parts
Posted by davem in Dishwasher Spares & Repair News, Engineers Service Call Repair Diary on January 9th, 2010
The new IDF125 Indesit dishwasher has changed design, the look of the dishwasher hasn’t changed too much but internally there is a big difference. The wash pump motor is made by Askoll, this isn’t a motor as we know it. The impellor on this thing vibrates and aggitates back & forward. I have replaced two of these pumps already due the impellor falling off the motor shaft. The Indesit IDf125 has a 31.8 ohm heater is seated on the end wash motor housing, both these and the other components situated in the base of the dishwasher are accessed via a plastic panel in the bottom of the dishwasher.

AEG washing machine drum dropped and door seal distorted.
Engineers repair comments.
On inspection of the customers AEG washing machine i found that the drum had dropped because the left hand drum spring had become detatched from it’s location on the cabinet due to a very uneven load on the spin cycle. At this stage i didn’t know if we needed any AEG washing machine spare parts. I lifted the drum and the spring up and relocated the spring into the cabinet slot, i repositioned the AEG washing machine door seal , the seal came back into normal shape, with the drum and door seal now sitting correctly i tested the suspension legs and hoses, i then put the machine on a wash cycle to test that there was no other faults, all tested ok so i then put 4 bath towels into the machine on a cotton cycle again the AEG washing machine filled and then started washing, i then turned the AEG washing machine onto a spin cycle, the machine spun fine.

Neff oven not heating
On inspection of the customers U1442 Neff oven i found that the Neff main oven fan motor was running at the correct speed but there was no heat from the element, i removed and checked the Neff oven spare parts by removing the screws that hold the internal oven back panel in place and then remove the panel itself, the Neff fan oven element can now be seem , then i remove the three screws holding the element in place, i gently pulled the Neff oven element towards the front of the oven so the wiring cables can be removed. I removed the cables and replaced the element with a genuine Neff oven spare part, i then reconnect the wires and fitted the new element then refitted the back panel and screws. Now it was time to test the Neff oven, it all worked fine. We normally fit genuine Neff oven spares and spare parts on all the repairs we carry out.

Bosch washing machine drum not turning
Engineers repair comments.
On inspection of the Bosch WFL2260 washing machine i found that the drum wasn’t turning. I could hear the relay on the control module pcb clicking on & off which meant that the electronic control module was ok and sending the electrical power down to the motor so my next port of call was checking the Bosch washing machine brushes to do this you remove the back panel and the motor from the drum fixings held on by two 10mm screws then release the wire terminal block from the motor, remove the motor from underneath the bosch washing machine then turn the motor on end to gain access to the Bosch carbon brushes, unclip the wire to the carbon brush and release the brush sprung loaded clip from brush housing, pull the carbon brush out repeat this on the other sides of the motor. You must then clean the motor armiture with a very fine piece of wet & dry sand paper untill it is a shining, this to remove the old carbon from the motor armiture. Fit the new brushes into the carbon brush housing and then fit the rest of the Bosch washing machine back together.

Hotpoint washing Machine Lights Flashing
Engineers repair comments.
On inspection of the customers aqxxl129 Hotpoint washing machine i found that when the door was shut and the machine switched on by the on-off button on the washing machine the lights on the control panel were light correctly and on, but when i opened the washing machine door the lights flickered and went off, i tried this several times and the same fault occured. I removed the hotpoint washing machine top and the control board cover from the door, I had an idea that the wiring cabled were damaged as they are run through the door hinge but i wasn’t sure if Hotpoint supplied this as a spare part. On closer inspection of the wiring cables i found that one of the wires was loose as it entered in the terminal plug, i reconnected the wire and tested the Hotpoint washing machine it worked fine again, no Hotpoint washing machine spare parts needed this time.

Hotpoint fridge not working think it’s the thermostat
On Inspection of the customers RL64 Hotpoint fridge i found that the light was on but the motor ( compressor ) wasn’t running. I switched the Hotpoint fridge off by the electrical plug then removed the thermostat box on the right hand side wall of the fridge by removing the screw cap that is situated in front of the temperature knob then the screw, pulled the thermostat box towards the front of the fridge then pulled it towards the middle of the cabinet. Then i removed the thermostat knob and nut that held the thermostat to the housing and then removed the wire cables. On the back plate of the fridge the thermostat sensing file was held i released the two screw holding this. I fitted the new Hotpoint thermostat and refit all the parts in the reverse of how i had removed them. Plugged the Hotpoint fridge into the electrical supply and the light came on and also the motor, another repair completed.
