Carbon Filters

If your cooker  hood is vented out through a wall to the outside you do not need to fit a carbon filter. However you should always fit a grease filter as this prevents steam and grease from damaging the motor unit and electrical parts with grease.

Also the grease filter should be changed at regular intervals dependant on the amount of cooking done but always at least once a year, Blocked or saturated filters restrict air flow though the hood which can cause the motor to overheat
